“ I’m surprised that this restaurant in little town can produce such a wonderful burger(Whistle burger), well the burger is so huge since it has two burger meat in there. Franch Toast was okay and above average. I also surprised that they execute “serve yourself” policy. Outdoor is pretty during Summer hour and sunny. Many locals come and sit and chat. Indoor is a very local bar. I’ll say overall it was a wonderful experience dine in here. ”

“ This is our go-to stop everytime we visit Mt Hood! The food is always delicious. My favorite is the Rueben sandwich... mmm! So good after a solid day skiing. My husband usually gets the burgers, but this time the teriyaki chicken hit the spot. The owner Tekla is a super rad chick. And our server ms.kaye's dry wit makes us feel like we've come back home ”
“ Stopped at Whistle Stop expecting a quick bite on the way up to Mt Hood, left wondering if I should just move to Welches and eat here forever. Cozy, friendly, and the kind of breakfast that makes you rethink your life choices (in a good way). Biscuits and gravy? More please. Coffee? Strong enough to shake away existential dread. Highly recommend pulling over on purpose for this place. ”
“ My wife and I stop here every time we come out this way to pick mushrooms. Food is great, booze is priced well and they haven’t played a song I don’t like. I love this place. ”
“ Home away from home. For me rarely being at a bar anyway. Muchos experience so pay this place a visit, you'll thank me. Otherwise, you're probably a whiner ”
